USA Volleyball Beach Junior Tour Makes Stop in Mason

Geeter’s Beach Volleyball at McGee’s Courts 4 Sports in Mason played host to a stop of the USA Volleyvall Beach Junior Tour on July 10-11. Geeter’s hosted U12, U14, U16, and U18 divisions for girls along with U16 and U18 divisions for boys.
A pair of teams from Lexington took first and second in the 12U division. In the 14U division, Kayla Rotundo and LeeAnn Starr, both from MVA defeated Ashtin Riveras (St. Margaret of York, Cincy Classics) and Emily Wagner (St. Jude, Cincy Classics) for the title.

Lakota West’s McMahon heading to Singapore with National Team

Liz McMahon, a 6’6 MB from Lakota West and Team Z, was listed on USA Volleyball’s final 12-man roster for the girls traveling to compete in Singapore at the Youth National Games. McMahon is the only Ohioan on the team that will compete against 5 other nations beginning on August 21st and concluding on the 26th.
